Grassroots Groups

With antisemitism affecting more than 50 municipalities and 2,000 schools across the Bay Area, local volunteers have answered the call. Over 5,000 parents, academics, high-tech professionals, and others have organized into grassroots groups and are actively combating antisemitism in their communities. While each region faces unique challenges within its local systems and institutions, they are united in prioritizing the safety, well-being, and inclusion of Jewish community members:

Local Leadership

Partnering with local city officials, school districts, and local leaders to define and condemn antisemitism, enhance reporting and response protocols, and implement awareness education, anti-bullying, harassment, and discrimination policies, as well as community initiatives that promote awareness, prevention, and support.

Bias in Education

Addressing bias in curricula (including ethnic studies), content, instructional materials, professional development for educators, and outside-the-classroom activities such as guest speakers, clubs, and other programs.

Supporting Affected Community Members

Helping families advocate for their students facing antisemitism in educational institutions.

Training and Resources

Providing response and advocacy tools and training for parents and students to effectively counter antisemitism.

Building Alliances

Creating strong partnerships with Bay Area organizations and communities to address shared concerns and promote collective action.

Celebrating Jewish & Israeli Heritage

Promoting the rich cultural traditions of Jewish and Israeli heritage through events, education, and community activities.
